Our hotel adheres to all mandatory and optional measures provided by Greek legislation for the prevention of COVID-19 transmission and have registered the relevant action plan on the special platform of the Greek Ministry of Tourism. In addition, it has special advantages that allow us to make your stay even safer.
In particular:
Disinfectants:
Antiseptic / disinfectant devices have been installed in the reception as well as in the hotel’s common areas for our costumers’ use.
Air conditioning:
All of our suites have independent air conditioning units, with special particle retention filters, ensuring air renewal directly from the outside environment.
Natural Ventilation:
In all of our suites natural ventilation is provided, as they have balconies or terraces with large balcony doors or in some cases with large windows as well.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Our staff members are ready to welcome you, with all Personal Protective Equipment – masks, gloves and robes (where required) – for the proper use of which they have been specially trained.
Disinfectants:
We know that gloves are not enough if the hygiene rules are not followed, which is why we have placed disinfectant liquids in many parts of the preparation areas for continuous use by our staff.
Staff training:
All members of our staff, have been trained in the implementation of all common hygiene measures (hand washing, keeping proper distances, avoiding handshakes), in the implementation of more specific measures related to their area of responsibility and have been informed of the measures ought to be followed by all departments of our hotel. In addition, they have been trained in the identification of suspicious cases of COVID-19 and in the actions that must be taken, in case of occurrence of such a case, based on the instructions of NPHO (National Public Health Organization).
Checks and maintenance:
At our hotel, throughout the suspension operation, daily maintenance was done on water, sewerage and air conditioning systems. Subsequently, all actions and all controls provided by the relevant instructions of NPHO and other competent authorities, in these systems, were carried out and we have been awarded with relevant certificates.
Partners and suppliers:
All our external partners and suppliers have been informed about the necessary protocols and measures to be followed.
Laser thermometer:
Our staff is thermometered on arrival and relevant recording is made daily. Sample temperature checks are also performed on our guests.
GDPR
For public health reasons and in compliance with tourist accommodation protocol, our staff’s and guests’ details are recorded (name, nationality, date of arrival / departure, telephone, e-mail and address), always in compliance with relevant requirements of legal framework for protection of personal data.
Reception:
Check-in from 3 p.m. / Check-out until 11 a.m.: This rule is mandatory for us, in order to ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection of the rooms.
Room keys:
Room keys are disinfected in special disinfection container.
Electronic invoicing and payment:
You can pay by electronic means and we will send you your receipt document in the same way.
COVID Policy
The policy of our hotel regarding the measures taken is posted on the hotel site, in a prominent place of the reception and is available in print for our guests both in Greek and in English.
Medical Kit:
There is special medical equipment (medical kit) in case of occurrence of an incident (disposable gloves and masks, antiseptics, cleaning wipes, apron, long-sleeved robe, laser thermometer).
HOUSEKEEPING
Surface disinfection:
Feel safe! Surfaces in public areas are disinfected every 60 minutes, with greater emphasis on frequently touched surfaces (such as knobs, handles).
Room disinfection:
In our suites, a special cleaning and disinfection program is applied, according to the relevant instructions of NPHO. There is a 24 hours mediate between departure and stay, or else all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected with a steam device and disinfectants. Fabric surfaces are cleaned with a steam device (temperature> 70°) and special fabric disinfectants.
Remote control:
Remote controls are covered with special films or disposable covers.
Ventilation:
We carefully ventilate our apartments with fresh air from the balcony doors and windows that all our rooms have.
Room cleaning:
According to a relevant rule imposed by the protocol for tourist accommodation, rooms are not cleaned during stay, unless specifically requested by you.
Clothing:
As required by tourist accommodation protocol, towels, sheets and beddings are not changed during stay, unless specifically requested by you.
Linen sorting:
The sorting of the dirty linen is done using appropriate individual protective neasures (robe), they are placed in closed bags with special marking for their transport to the washing machines and the service cart is disinfected after each use between the rooms. Clean linen is kept in a different place from the dirty ones, with relative labeling and observance of the rules of hygiene, as always.
Suspicious Case Management Plan COVID-19
If a visitor meets the COVID-19 case definition criteria, the following applies:
• The case is evaluated by the person in charge / doctor and if deemed necessary, a COVID-19 test is performed and if it is positive, EODY is immediately informed about the case and instructions for dealing with it are provided.
• It is recommended that the suspect stay in his room with the room door closed.
• In a patient who shows symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, sneezing, runny nose), a simple surgical mask and tissues are given immediately.
• If there is a patient’s attendant who wishes to stay close to him to care for him, the attendant is given a simple surgical mask and is advised to wash his hands whenever he comes in contact with the patient’s secretions and definitely before the attendant touches his face either eats or drinks.
• Do not enter the patient’s room unless there is a good reason. If necessary, a member of the hotel staff deals exclusively with any suspicious case.
• Used protective equipment should be disposed of in a dustbin and should not be reused.
• The hands must be washed and cleaned thoroughly.
• The Management takes care that there is immediately accessible to the hotel staff sufficient consumables for the prevention of infections: soap and water or alcoholic hand cleansing solution, tissues, simple surgical masks, disposable gloves, thermometers, cleaning bags surfaces.
If an employee meets the criteria for the COVID-19 case definition, the following applies:
• The hotel manager communicates directly with EODY for a report of the suspected case and instructions for dealing with it.
• It is recommended in the suspected case to remain in a specific area with the door of the room closed.
• In a patient who shows symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, sneezing, runny nose), a simple surgical mask and tissues are given immediately.
• An investigation is made for possible exposure of other employees or customers and they are asked to follow the instructions of EODY.
• All surfaces are disinfected with emphasis on the workplaces and the equipment used by the possible case.
Cleaning and Disinfection of a Patient Room
• Good cleaning of surfaces, often touched by the patient, especially if the surfaces are soiled with biological fluids.
• Cleaning staff uses a simple surgical mask, gloves and a disposable waterproof robe.
• After removing the gloves, a good hand wash follows.
• Fabric surfaces are cleaned with a steam device (temperature> 70 °).
